Please make sure to fill in your tax ID!

Capital gains are generally taxable in Germany. Since January 1, 2023, payment service providers of crowdinvesting platforms are legally obliged to declare and pay capital gains tax of crowdinvestors. Therefore, we kindly ask you to provide your tax identification number („Steuer-Id Nr.“) in the investment process. In case you have already invested but have not filled in your tax ID number yet, please make sure to add it now to your user account (under Settings – Tax Information). You will find your tax ID number on your remuneration statement or wage tax certificate.

Please note that our payment service provider secupay AG is only allowed to make future payments with an interest portion if your tax ID number is available for the withholding of capital gains tax. If you do not provide or add your tax ID number, secupay AG may no longer make any payments to you.

If you have documents that affect your tax calculation, please provide them to us via e-mail to info@frankly.green. Examples of this would be a certificate confirming an exemption or registration certificates from abroad. The latter is particularly relevant for investors residing outside Germany.

In case you have any further questions regarding the legal background or the tax implications for you individually, we kindly ask you to seek professional advice from a tax advisor or someone similar.
